Last year we opened a survey to allow you to select new dates for this year’s celebration. The first week of October won the popular vote in our survey and after the dates were announced, the committee realized we had made an oversight. October 1 and 2 conflict with the Jewish observances of Shmini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. We apologize to our Jewish community members for neglecting to omit this week/dates from our survey. Because we want all babywearers to be able to enjoy a full week of celebration we will be extending the celebration by two days. Those groups who have already made plans to celebrate between October 1-7 may do so. The IBW committee will continue to celebrate through October 9 to allow our friends celebrating these holidays participate in a full 7 days of babywearing.
